About Dr Samuel Soon

Dr Samuel Soon is the Medical Director of Sunway Medical Centre, Singapore. He graduated from Duke-NUS Medical School and was awarded Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) and Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine (GDFM). He holds an Engineering degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as well. Dr Samuel Soon is fluent in English, Mandarin, Hokkien, Cantonese and Malay.

Dr Samuel Soon is a registered family physician under Singapore Family Physicians Accreditation Board (FPAB). He is experienced in the care of chronic medical conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia and osteoporosis. He is also well trained in men and women's health issues, travel medicine, and paediatric medicine. He has a special interest in medical technology and always tries to incorporate the latest advancement in medical technology into his treatment plans.

Dr Samuel Soon is known for his humour, caring personality and holistic approach towards his patients. He believes in providing quality medical care as well as being the confidante for all his patients.

About Dr Thwin Maung Aye

Dr Thwin Maung Aye, a Consultant Gastroenterologist & Hepatologist at Sunway Medical Centre Singapore offers expert consultation and treatment for an extensive range of digestive conditions, including management of diseases and tumours of the stomach and bowel, liver disease, pancreatic and biliary diseases, and inflammatory bowel disease.

Dr Thwin completed his basic medical degree (MBBS) from the Institute of Medicine (1), Yangon, Myanmar. He pursued basic medical training at Yangon General Hospital in Myanmar and at London King's College Hospital and Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals in the United Kingdom then he obtained the Membership of the Royal College of Physician, MRCP (UK). He later became the fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh.

He received advanced specialist training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the National University Hospital Singapore and attained accreditation by the Specialist Accreditation Board, Singapore Medical Council and became the fellow of Academy of Medicine of Singapore. He was awarded the Specialty Certificate in Gastroenterology from the Federation of Royal College of Physicians and British Society of Gastroenterology of the United Kingdom. He completed advanced fellowship training in Transplant Hepatology at the Institute of Liver Studies, King's College Hospital (London).
