Clinical Oncology

Clinical Oncology is concerned on the usage of Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy to treat and to manage patients who suffer with cancer. Clinical Oncologists also work very closely with a multidisciplinary team that determine which type of treatment to be used by considering the range of factors including the cancer type, the stages of the cancer towards the patient’s general health, and the site of the tumour. They then assess the benefits and conditions of different treatment before making an informed decision.

We have State-of-the-Art machines which we provide to administer the cancer treatment:

  • INTRABEAM Intraoperative Radiation Therapy (IORT):
It is an innovative therapy which is administered at the time of lumpectomy, following tumour removal.
  • Brachytherapy:
A procedure which includes a combination with external beam radiotherapy and chemotherapy, which is accurate on delivering radiation directly to the tumour inside the body and it reduces the risks of side effects.
  • Varian TrueBeam STx:
It uses 3D imaging to target and treat tumours  that are located in the lung, breast, head and neck, abdomen, liver and other regions.
  • Leksell Gamma Knife® Icon™:
A  highly sophisticated non-invasive treatment that uses a beam of radiation to damage targeted cancerous tumours in a very precise manner while minimising exposure to healthy surrounding tissues and critical structures.
